About this event:

Created by dittoddt

For the past five years, Central has been serving dinner one Wednesday per month to homeless women in the basement of Capital Heights Presbyterian Church.  These dinners are part of the Women’s Homeless Initiative that provides dinner and a safe place to sleep every night, through partnership with seven downtown churches.  To further raise awareness about homelessness, the Initiative worked with the women to create a book of art, photography, and poetry through which the women could share what it’s like to be homeless.  That book is being officially released at an event at History Colorado from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.  Central members and friends are encouraged to attend and to continue to extend our reach into the community even as we further open our minds to understanding the experiences of our neighbors
