Ars Nova hosts the first Colorado New Music Festival\, with the combined artistry of Ars Nova Singers\, Kantorei\, and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir. Each acclaimed ensemble will present a solo set before joining forces in the World Premiere of Terry Schlenker’s new work The Bird of Vision (based on a poem by 13th-century Sufi mystic\, Rumi)\, commissioned for this one-night-only concert. \nFounded in 1997\, Kantorei is a Denver-based choral ensemble dedicated to artistic excellence\, innovation\, and inclusivity. Through compelling performances\, educational outreach\, and the commissioning of new music\, Kantorei brings the transformative power of choral art to audiences across Colorado and beyond.
