Amahl’s most recent story is about a star with a tail that moves across the sky like a chariot on fire. When three splendid strangers knock on the door and ask to rest in their tiny home\, Amahl is thrilled and fascinated. DESCRIPTION:On January 7th at 11:45am in the East Classroom\, we’ll review the Profile of Gun Violence in Colorado\, learn about the public health framework shaping the work of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention and explain a concrete opportunity for influencing public policy on this topic. \nGun violence is a public health epidemic and Central members can become active in addressing this crisis. \nAs a member congregation of CO Faith Communities United to End Gun Violence (CFCU)\, we can access resources and networks to help us understand the current situation in Colorado and then take action to be part of the solution. \nPlease join Cheryl Fleetwood and Stephanie Greenberg\, CFCU’s Advocacy Chair\, for this informative session. Together let’s make a New Year’s resolution to do all we can to prevent gun violence in 2024.
