Rev. Tim Mooney will present an overview of the fall schedule of classes and Life Groups that are currently scheduled, and some alternative times and dates for other offerings, including our Visiting Theologian, Rev. Patricia Pearce.

Sunday, September 19, 11:45am, Zoom
We welcome Memory Wollenweber and Dr. Vie Thorgren, director of Restoring Connections, as they speak to us about Soul Care Mentoring and Restoring Connections – changing the lives of incarcerated women at Denver Women’s Correctional Facility. Elder Rachel Dempsey leads a much-needed class: “How to Use Social Media in Healthy Ways.” Rachel, who has worked and written in this area, will give us hints for navigating through the often rough-waters of life online, and offers us helpful tools to keep conversations civil and authentic.

October

Sundays in October, 1-3pm, Peoples Presbyterian Church, 2780 York St, Denver
Beginning October 3, Central is joining with Peoples Presbyterian Church to discuss the book Caste: The Origins of our Discontent, by Isabel Wilkerson. Sponsored by the Colorado Council of Churches, this collaborative conversation invites us to explore together the implications and impact of racism in our culture. This series of conversations will happen from 1-3pm in the Fellowship Hall at Peoples Presbyterian Church. We are looking forward to this conversation with our good friends at Peoples, and we encourage you to buy the book and read it before the class begins on October 3.

There is also an option to join via Zoom:
